A LOOK INSIDE & OUTSIDE AN HISTORICAL ALLENTOWN BREWERY - The former Neuweiler Brewery in Allentown, Pa., built between 1911 and 1913 along North Front Street on the west side of the Lehigh River, is being demolished in January, 2023, to make way for a 7-story mixed-use residential and retail development. Plans approved by the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission include over 300 apartments. The original brew house on the property is six stories high, and contains a copper hipped roof with a cupola. It has stood over 100 years as a familiar icon on Allentown's skyline. The brewery closed in 1968. Pictures here were made in the 1990s by Donna Fisher.
