On Tuesday, August 2, 2022, U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and U.S. Rep. Susan Wild, D-Pa-7, toured Lehigh Valley International Airport's $29 million terminal connection and TSA checkpoint expansion. They later toured Lehigh Carbon Community College's program that helps veterans enter the trucking industry. The funding, a$3.1 million grant from the Department of Transportation, is part of the $1.2 trillion infrastructure package approved by Congress.
